Diablo 4 Beta Players Getting Stuck in Queues!– OnMyWay Mobile App User News

Diablo 4‘s beta is an opportunity for fans of the loot-heavy role-playing game to sink some time into its dark and demonic world before the game launches on June 6. Though you can invest a good bit of time into seeing everything Blizzard has included in the beta, you won’t be able to carry the progress you make into the full game, meaning everything you do is just for testing purposes – well, almost everything. By completing a few milestones during the beta, you can earn some neat rewards to use in the full release later this year. Here’s how to get them all.

The other way to get in early is via this KFC collaboration, which you also have to spend money on (though at least you get some chicken!) Either way, you’ve spent money and now you can’t play. Since I’m press, I got a press key, but being unable to login to the game means I have no way to play it and write about it and make videos about it to share with my readers and instead have to write posts like this one—which aren’t nearly as fun!

A statement from Blizzard on the Battle.net launcher reads: “We are aware of the issues impacting Open Beta Early Access, leading to long queue times and server disconnections. The team is managing the rate of players entering the game until we have a full fix for the connection issues.”

Launching at 9:00 AM PDT, the Diablo 4 early access beta initially seemed to be running wonderfully. But as servers quickly filled up, it became clear that the beta wasn’t as optimized as some were hoping. Crashes, log-in issues, performance optimization, and more problems impacted those who were able to start the game. But most players never got that far, instead stuck in an ever-growing queue.

As the beta launched, the implementation of a queue was already apparent. Early Diablo 4 logins faced queues of 1-3 minutes. That queue time has now ballooned to over two hours, and will likely grow from there. Blizzard has, to its credit, acknowledged this. It has warned Diablo 4 beta players that they may experience a queue throughout the weekend.

If we want to include Activision in this net, just look at the disastrous launch of Modern Warfare II, which crashed on me more times than any other game I’ve ever played on launch day. Activision-Blizzard is a massive video game publisher. There’s just no excuse for this kind of botched beta or the ridiculous launches we’ve seen lately. By now, this should be a cake walk.

It certainly doesn’t bode well for the game’s actual release this coming June. If the servers are struggling this much during a closed beta that isn’t even open to the general public, well, let’s just hope they can get it together by then. Hopefully next weekend isn’t as bad, but I’m not holding my breath.

When does the Diablo 4 beta start?
The early access beta started on Friday at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET) and will last until Monday, March 20, at 12 p.m. PT. This weekend is only for those who received a beta code.

An open beta available to everyone will start next Friday, March 24, at 9 a.m. PT and ends on March 27 at 12 p.m. PT.

How do I get a Diablo 4 beta code?
Those interested can receive a code for the beta by preordering a copy of Diablo 4. KFC is also offering beta codes with the purchase of a Double Down.
