‘Chicago Fire’ EP Hints Jesse Spencer May Return in the Season 10 Finale — ‘Big Exciting Things Are Going to Be Happening’!– OnMyWay Mobile App User News

Chicago Fire said goodbye to Jesse Spencer in season 10. The actor was a part of the show from the beginning, but he took his leave after episode 5. However, Spencer’s character Matthew Casey didn’t just disappear from Firehouse 51’s memory. Paramedic Sylvie Brett is still romantically involved with him and some fans are hoping he will return for a Stellaride wedding. Chicago Fire‘s executive producer teased a possible Spencer appearance in the season 10 finale.

Although Spencer had good things to say about his time on Chicago Fire, the long-time TV actor was ready for a change after so many years on network television. “There’s other things that I would love to do in the future and there’s some family that I need to take care of. Eighteen years is a long time.

Spencer’s character Casey left the show to move to Oregon to take care of Griffin and Ben Darden. The boys’ father, Andrew Darden was a firefighter and close friend of Casey. Darden died in the Chicago Fire premiere and named Casey the guardian of his sons if anything were to happen to him and his wife.

Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide are engaged and Casey is supposed to be the best man at their wedding. A Stellaride wedding would be a perfect time or Jesse Spencer to appear in an episode of Chicago Fire, and a wedding would be a great finale for season 10.

During a One Chicago Day press junket, executive producer and co-showrunner David Haas told TVLine it would be “amazing” if Spencer returned for the season finale. “That would be a coup for our show if we could talk Jesse into coming back,” Haas said. “So status on that is all systems looking good. And yes, I talked to him last week so I’m very hopeful that that’s going happen.”

Of course, Haas also told TVLine that he doesn’t want to “promise anything until cameras are rolling.” However, he continued, “it is our great expectation that we will see both Casey and [his girlfriend] Brett in the [season] finale, because giant, big exciting things are going to be happening. This will be the best finale ever, I’ll go ahead and say it.”

Although Jesse Spencer left Chicago Fire, his character Matthew Casey is still dating paramedic Sylvie Brett, played by Kara Kilmer. Brett was absent from Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 16.

In episode 15, she was badly missing Casey. Brett told Kidd and Violet Mikami, “I just need to spend some actual time with Matt.” Luckily, Brett isn’t leaving forever, though it’s not clear if she will return prior to the season 10 finale. TVLine wrote on March 16, “Rest assured, Sylvie is not gone for good and will be back.”
