John Wick 4 Twitter Account Trolls Fans With Alternate Ending Tease

The highly popular John Wick Chapter 4 is ready to hit the OTT streaming platform. As per reports, the action thriller starring Keanu Reeves will premiere globally on digital partner Lionsgate Play.

In India, the action film will debut on Netflix on May 24 instead of the Lionsgate Play, as per reports. The previous three parts of the franchise are currently available on Amazon Prime Video for Indian OTT subscribers.

Now, team John Wick 4 is considering Netflix over Amazon Prime Video. However, no official announcement has been made from either side.

In the continuation of the third chapter Parabellum, the latest iteration in the John Wick saga received a higher collection than ever, making it one of the highest profit-making films.

The Lionsgate film, starring Reeves as the reluctant-but-not-that-reluctant killer John Wick, exceeded expectations in the R-rated franchise. Since first launching in 2014 with “John Wick” ($14 million on its opening weekend), the Chad Stahelski-directed series has steadily grown as a ticket-seller with each sequel. The 2017 follow-up opened with $30.4 million, and the 2019 third chapter, “Parabellum,” debuted with $56.8 million.

But “Chapter 4,” running two hours and 49 minutes and costing at least $100 million to produce, is the biggest film yet in the once-lean action series. Critics also said it was a franchise high point, scoring 95% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The film, which drew a 69% male audience, added $64 million overseas. It’s Lionsgate’s biggest success of the pandemic era.

Shot in New York, Osaka, Berlin, and Paris, the film also stars Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, and Rina Sawayama.

John Wick kills. The first man he kills today is the Elder, provoking the rage of the High Table, which I believe is a secret society of some type that runs the world, but it doesn’t matter, because the group has it out for Wick and will assign a haughty and lubricious tea-sipping Frenchman known as the Marquis (Bill Skarsgard) to send a million-zillion men to Wick so that Wick may kill them. Aha! Yes, that’s the whole of everything that matters – the million-zillion hopeless men who are about to die in creative, inventive, nasty and often rather amusing ways.

I could sit here and describe how Wick uses nunchaku and a pistol to fend off one guy and then a second guy so he may headshot a third guy and go back to the first guy and fend him off then fend off the second guy then headshot the first guy then finish off the second guy, until he runs into another batch of guys. Some of the guys are head-to-toe armored, even their faces, so it’s not always easy, but Wick is hard, hard as a motherf—er gets, and he can take them all out. He has a bulletproof three-piece suit, plenty of ammo and the unceasing will of glacial motion or plate tectonics, maybe even time itself. He. Is. Un. Stopp. Able. There’s a sequence set near the Arc de Triomphe where he – get this – fights and kills some bad guys, in the midst of ceaseless traffic, and is hit by a car I-don’t-know-how-many times, leading one to assume his bones are made of steel. Keanu characterizes Wick as a weary man with aching muscles and, during a climactic sequence, a joke is made of him having to use those battered and bruised muscles to climb a massive staircase. And then he subsequently tumbles all the way down them like Homer at Springfield Gorge. So he has to climb them again.

Wick’s daughter could be estranged, potentially choosing to separate herself from her father in order to avoid dealings with his assassin lifestyle. This would also explain why she was never mentioned in any of the previous films. A spinoff movie focusing on Wick’s daughter could then follow the character as she is sucked into this world against her will, potentially becoming a target of someone from her father’s past.

While John undoubtedly would have given her some fight training as a kid, a spinoff could see the character as more inexperienced when it comes to killing. Instead of featuring her mowing down hundreds of enemies, the movie could act as more of an origin story, telling a smaller-scale, more personal story in which she starts to develop her skills as a young assassin.
