Demon Slayer season 3: Release schedule, total episodes

The much-awaited Demon Slayer season 3 episode 2 is scheduled to be released on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Demon Slayer season 3 wowed fans with its high-class animation and plot and they can’t wait to see what the next episode has in store for them.

“To the Swordsmith Village” arc starts off with the much-awaited Upper Moon meeting. Fans did not spare to show their disappointment when this scene was committed from last season’s batch. However finally, the fans are eating well. Therefore, keep reading on, as this is the review for the first episode of Demon Slayer Season 3, titled “Cruelty.”

Swordsmith Village and Demon Slayers’ Perspective
Continuing the story from the end of the last arc, Tanjiro’s journey leads him to the Swordsmith Village. He reunites with two Hashiras for the first time after the Hashira meeting arc in Season 1. Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, are seen with Tanjiro in the village.

Tanjiro has to repair his Niichirin sword, but as expected, the wordsmiths are furious at him for snapping his katana irresponsibly yet again. The Demon Slayers are still recovering from the wounds sustained from the previous battle with Daki and Gyutaro, as the shadow of a new and even more sinister doom lurks in the corner. A new battle is imminent and impending.

As you can see above, Douma came to light first as Upper Moon 2 cozied up to Akaza. The latter wasn’t thrilled meeting Upper Moon 2, but Douma’s cheerful personality didn’t wane even when slighted. In fact, Douma became all the clingier with Akaza until the Upper Moon snapped, but Douma did not mind. He kept things eerily light with Akaza, but the same cannot be said about Upper Moon 1.

At one point, Kokushibo made his big debut, and it was all to scold Akaza. The top-tier demon cut off Akaza’s hand because he was disrespectful to his senior. From start to finish, Upper Moon 1 made it clear his word is law, and their steady voice made Kokushibo all the more terrifying. The power of Upper Moon 1 is hard to fathom, but we got a glimpse of it this week. And of course, Demon Slayer season 3 made sure to give us a look at all of Kokushibo’s eyes before allowing the demon to leave Muzan’s meeting.

Of course, Demon Slayer went on to introduce some other Upper Moons in this shot. Akaza is ranked at third, so we met the two demons in fourth and fifth place. Hantengu and Gyokko were glossed over in the premiere of Demon Slayer season 3 to give their seniors more room, but don’t worry! The anime is far from done with the pair. In fact, Demon Slayer season 3 will focus on the two Upper Moons thanks to the Swordsmith Village arc.

If you are not caught up with Demon Slayer, we recommend you get a marathon planned ASAP. You can find seasons 1 and 2 of Demon Slayer on Crunchyroll right now. So for more details on Koyoharu Gotouge’s series, you can read its synopsis here: “It’s the Taisho period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister, Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a demon slayer to turn his sister back and kill the demon that massacred his family.”

How to watch Demon Slayer season 3 from anywhere with a VPN
Perhaps you’re traveling abroad and want to stream Crunchyroll while away from home. With a VPN, you’re able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to the anime series from anywhere in the world. There are other good reasons to use a VPN for streaming, too.

A VPN is the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds by encrypting your traffic. Using a VPN is also a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins. Streaming TV can be a bit smoother with a reliable, quality VPN that’s passed our tests and security standards.

You can use a VPN to stream content legally as long as VPNs are legal in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you’re using. The US and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we advise against streaming or downloading content on illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN, but you may opt for another provider from our best list such as Surfshark or NordVPN.
